The Governorate of Rif Dimashq completed the installation of GPS electronic tracking devices on all the mechanisms operating on the lines and tracks of the governorate, which amount to 2,200 active mechanisms, of which 70 percent are within their tracks.
Director of Traffic Engineering in the governorate, Eng. Bassam Radwan, stated in a statement to SANA correspondent that the GPS system reduced waste, and obligated seraphis to work within its lines according to the path specified for it, in addition to accurately counting the total number of operating and leaking vehicles in the governorate.
Radwan pointed out that there are five thousand services working on the lines of the governorate that have not been counted, because some of them work through exchange garages between Damascus and the countryside of Damascus, such as Al-Sumaria, Al-Sayeda Zainab, Al-Abbasyyin and Al-Baramkeh, and the installation of the tracking device on them was within the jurisdiction of the Damascus governorate, stressing that all the mechanisms that Assigned to its tracks, it now takes its fuel allocations on a regular basis, in case it adheres to the work and the path.
The Director of Traffic Engineering stated that the owners of the service cars can file a regular complaint with the concerned authorities, in the event that any station attempts to manipulate the quantity and steal even one liter of their allocations of diesel or gasoline, and the appropriate action will be taken against the station.
Radwan pointed out that there is an integrated work cell that begins with traffic engineering and ends with fuel, and an integration company continues to work to complete this system as fully and quickly as possible.
