Two people were killed and three others were injured when a fire broke out at a nightclub in Cambodia's southwestern Preah Sihanouk province.
"A fire broke out in a nightclub in Sihanoukville, while workers were doing maintenance work, as sparks from a welding process fell on a flammable material, killing two people and injuring three others," Xinhua news agency quoted Chun Narin, the provincial police chief, as saying today. .
Narin said that the nightclub was empty of customers at the time of the accident.
Last month, 19 people were killed in a fire that broke out at a hotel and casino in Cambodia, near the border with Thailand.
