Who runs the Ministry of Transport? The new table that tells the whole story - voila! news

Despite the disqualification of Moshe Ben Zaken's appointment as CEO, a new table was placed for him in the CEO's office, and the meeting table was removed from there. This, despite the fact that he has his own office in the bureau. The move indicates the mindset in the office - that an old man is the one who makes the decisions and is the actual CEO

An associate of Transport Minister Miri Regev, Moshe Ben Zaken, whose appointment as CEO of the ministry was rejected by the appointments committee, was given a desk in CEO Avner Flor's office - this was published today (Tuesday) in Calcalist.

For the move, the round conference table was removed from the office, even though Ben Zaken has his own office in the office.

The move reflects the mood in the ministry, when according to senior government officials who were in recent contact with the management of the Ministry of Transportation, they said that the decisions are made by Regev and Ben Zaken, even though the one who signed them is Flor.

The veteran and senior CEO is known, among other things, for his loyalty to the political echelon, so apparently it is easy for Sara to use him as a rubber stamp, while an old man runs the office.

About three weeks ago, Regev announced that it would appoint Ben Zaken to the position of Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Transportation, and not to the position of CEO. Regev plans to re-promote Ben Zaken's appointment to CEO in about six months, after he has gained experience in the ministry, and therefore she does not appoint a permanent CEO to the office. The position of Deputy CEO is a political appointment from the start, so the Committee for Senior Appointments cannot disqualify him.

"I will not give the High Court the pleasure of invalidating a professional and proper appointment and criticizing me and the government from the ivory tower," the minister claimed. To allow the ministers to implement their policies for the benefit of the citizens of Israel."
