Konny and Manu Reimann travel through Montana in the latest episode of their Kabel-Eins show.

They make a terrifying discovery.

Because they think they met a man with a gun.

Montana, USA – Driving towards the horizon on an endless highway while eagles soar overhead – this is how many people imagine the American Dream.

And while most of them can only fantasize about it for the rest of their lives, Konny (67) and Manu (54) Reimann are right in the middle of it - and enjoy a colorful life in their adopted home USA, where adventure awaits around every corner.

Since their first appearances on "Goodbye Germany", the two have established themselves as real crowd pleasers and thousands of fans look forward to new stories from their everyday life as emigrants every week.

“They all have guns here”: Konny and Manu Reimann discover an armed man

In the latest episode of their Kabel-Eins show "Welcome to the Reimanns", Konny and Manu are on a motorhome tour through Montana - and unfortunately experience not only fantastic views but also the downsides of their adopted home up close.

As is well known, many citizens there carry firearms - a fact that the Reimanns are confronted with on their fairytale-like journey up to that point.

Big shock for the Reimanns: Konny and Manu travel through Montana in the latest episode of "Welcome to the Reimanns" and believe they have met a man with a gun in a forest.

In the middle of nowhere, with no internet at all and only equipped with a map, Manu and her husband are looking for a suitable campsite near the lake - and suddenly seem to find themselves on private property.

"Look, over there, someone is doing gymnastics on the fence," Konny Reimann sniffs out the supposed owner, "I'll go over there and ask.

Maybe he has an idea where there is a campsite here.”

Full of conviction, the star emigrant slips into his shoes and Manu emphasizes: "Excuse me that we are on his property." But at that very moment Konny seems to make a frightening discovery: "Does he have a shotgun with him?" Asks he takes care of his wife.

Although Manu gives the all-clear – the stranger only has a coffee mug in his hand – Konny is well aware that things can quickly get dangerous in the American wilderness: “They all have guns here too,” he explains, “I would be here in the dark don't drive here or park here - it's far too dangerous."

How much does emigration cost?

Some would never dare, others have long dreamed of traveling into the unknown.

Even if emigrating sounds exciting – if you don’t want to return to Germany after a few months and have failed, you need a well-filled wallet.

A family of four should bring at least 90,000 euros in seed capital to the adopted country.

The more ambitious the project, the larger the financial buffer should be.

If you save, plan wisely and get detailed information about the destination before you leave, the new start on distant shores should be quite successful.

Road trip with a happy ending: Konny and Manu Reimann are allowed to camp at the lake after a gun shock

No matter how beautiful the valleys, lakes and mountainous landscapes of the United States, travelers should always exercise caution there.

"You shouldn't just run around on private property here in America, for example in Texas you can shoot someone if they run around on your private property," explains Manu.

Luckily for the Reimanns, who are very rich thanks to their TV career, the coast is clear, because Carl, who owns the lake property, allows them to park there for free - insofar as Konny helps him to build a raft.

For the passionate craftsman who built his own resort with "Konny Island", this should certainly be child's play.

"And we can stand here for free?" Manu asks a little incredulously - but at the latest when a fluffy dog runs towards her, the worries of the mother of two are gone.

Konny hammers and saws with her new friend as much as she can and Manu can fully enjoy the, admittedly really incredible, view of the still waters - that's what relaxation looks like.

When they are not cruising through picturesque postcard landscapes, Konny and Manu Reimann travel to the world-famous metropolises of the USA.

Only recently did the most likeable emigrant couple that the German television landscape has to offer stop in Chicago.

There, Konny Reimann spent 1,600 euros in a cowboy shop.
