The police arrested a Yehud resident last night (Tuesday) on suspicion of involvement in a hit-and-run accident between a motorcycle and a pedestrian on King George Street in Tel Aviv.
The pedestrian, 69 years old from Ashdod, was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.
The police forces that arrived at the scene began searching for the motorcyclist who fled the scene.
At the end of many operations, the suspect, a 21-year-old resident of Yehud, was located, and the vehicle was located elsewhere, when it was parked in Or Yehuda without an identification plate.
The suspect was arrested and handed over for questioning at the Tel Aviv district's examiner's unit. His license was suspended for 60 days. Today he will be brought before the court with a request to extend his detention.
