A 23-year-old girl with dual German and Iraqi nationality is suspected of having killed, with an accomplice, a young woman who looked like
her to simulate her own death
"and disappear due to family problems," German police reported.
On August 16, 2022, the body of a 23-year-old woman, stitched together with slashes, was found in a vehicle in Ingolstadt, in the Bavarian region.
Investigators initially believed that the victim was the owner of the vehicle, as her family claimed to recognize her.
But, when performing the autopsy the next day, it was discovered that
the victim was actually another woman.

The Ingolstadt policemen have been connecting the dots of what could be the macabre plan hatched by the young woman, helped by an accomplice, a 23-year-old Kosovar.
The two suspects have been detained since August.
"The investigators start from the principle that the suspect wanted to disappear due to family problems and simulate her death," local police revealed on Monday.

According to the police, the suspects would have "decided to search online for a woman who resembles the German-Iraqi,
kill her
and place her in such a way that they take her body for that of the suspect."
The suspect would have contacted, before the murder, several potential targets "who resembled her, through various accounts on social networks, to encourage them to meet with her, making false promises."

Apparently, the suspect went with her alleged accomplice to the Heilbronn region "to look for the future victim in her house."
