Australia – Djamila Rowe won the 16th season of the jungle camp (“I'm a star, get me out of here”) on Sunday evening (01/29/2023) on RTL.
In the final, the East Berliner received the most calls from the audience and was crowned the new jungle queen.

In the jungle camp final, Djamila first beat Lucas Cordalis with 52.79% and then Gigi Birofio with 62.26%.
The former “Joop” model thus won the prize money of 100,000 euros.
"A very big thank you to everyone who supported me," said Djamila as a first reaction to her victory in the jungle.

Around 9:26 a.m. Australian time, Djamila Rowe strutted along the long suspension bridge in the Australian jungle to get the jungle crown put on by the moderators Sonja Zietlow (54) and Jan Köppen (39).
But during the walk of the new jungle queen, the RTL viewers witnessed a live glitch on RTL.

Zietlow's and Köppen's microphones were obviously still open, which the two of them didn't know because they spoke indistinctly and quietly. Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen chatted privately about Rowe, who was on her way to them.

Ahhh, Our Queen.”
Jan Köppen:
"I don't think she can believe it at all."
Sonja Zietlow
: "No.

The live glitch makes it clear that the moderators were really happy for the Berliner.
When Djamila Rowe sat on her jungle throne, Sonja Zietlow couldn't hold back a tear on the live show.
"Thank you that so many viewers have recognized my true soul," said winner Djamila.
But the visibly moved Sonja Zietlow also lost a few words at the end of the 16th season of the jungle camp on RTL.

"A very special thanks to Jan, who really gave us a wonderful season.
Now I'm getting emotional again," she said, wiping another tear from her face.
TV viewers don't get much of what happens in the jungle camp.
