The district office is now responding to criticism of the lack of X-Bus stops.
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – The express bus bears its name for a good reason: it should be fast and take the most direct route possible from A to B.
Nevertheless, there has always been criticism of the public transport service: A reader of our newspaper, Klaus Steinberger, recently wrote in a letter to the editor that the buses did not stop at the Farchet and Weidach residential areas in Wolfratshausen.
The municipality of Königsdorf also wanted a stopover, preferably in the town center.
Although new stops have now been created, the bus still does not go to the places mentioned.
Expressbus should keep its character
The spokeswoman for the district office, Marlis Peischer, explains on request that this is in the nature of an express bus line.
"When designing such lines, a careful balance must be struck between quick and straight-line route guidance and the acceptance of potential passengers by using stops more frequently."
"We can well understand the idea that the bus would also stop in Farchet and Weidach," but if there were too many stops, the express bus would lose its character.
"Farchet/B11 and Weidach stops are also served by the existing regional and city buses."
The offer is constantly being reviewed and adjusted
The district office will still check the suggestions again when the lines are reassigned.
After all, the offer would be optimized again and again.
“The district is working resolutely on the implementation of the local transport plan” and have decided on “significant service additions” by December 2024, explains Peischer.

The Tölz district office is satisfied with the previous bus service.
The Committee on the Environment, Infrastructure and Tourism recently presented "very good passenger figures" for the X970 - one of the two express buses that operate in the district.
"We feel confirmed by the good capacity utilization," says Peischer.
However, the consequences of the corona pandemic are still noticeable in local public transport: the number of passengers has more than halved compared to 2019.
