"Inappropriate and violent behavior"

: Air crew of an Indian airline company, tied to the seat of a woman from Italy during a flight after, according to the crew, she undressed, physically hurt one of the flight attendants and spat on another flight attendant.

The woman, who had flown from Abu Dhabi on a Vistra plane, was arrested in Mumbai on Monday by the police and later released on bail.

Meanwhile, the woman's lawyer denied the allegations against her and stated that it was a false story.

The Vistra company said that the plane's crew had to restrain the woman because of "continued inappropriate and violent behavior".

In connection with this, the 'Times of India' published that in a complaint to the police, a flight attendant said that the passenger punched him and spat on another crew member.

The newspaper also reported that the incident began after the woman left her seat in the tourist section and went to sit in a seat in the business section without permission.

In addition, according to the complaint, the woman also caused disorder and even undressed during the flight.

Following this, the captain of the plane issued a warning message about the situation and also decided to restrain the woman by tying her to her seat because of her behavior.

On the other hand, the woman's lawyer claimed in a conversation with the BBC that his network did not feel comfortable in the seat where she was sitting and therefore asked the staff to move her to another seat.

According to him, this request was received by the staff with a refusal.

The lawyer also stated that his wife was not allowed to go to the bathroom at first after she was tied to her chair and that "she was later allowed to go wash herself in the bathroom, but she was tied to her chair again after she returned from there."

The lawyer also denied the media reports, which were quoted by police officers from the Mumbai station who claimed that the woman was drunk.

In the meantime, a senior official in the Mumbai police told reporters that the woman was "arrested for inappropriate behavior".

The source added that "we detailed the charges against her, brought her before a judge and then she was allowed to go."

Dikshit Gadem, Deputy Commissioner of the Mumbai Police, said this.
