Prince Harry dug deep into his pocket and bought a first edition of the classic children's book "Winnie-the-Pooh" ("Pooh the Bear") by Alan Alexander Milne (74, † 1956) for Prince Louis for a whopping 8,000 pounds (around 9,100 euros).
The book is said to belong to the first edition from 1926, of which only 30,000 copies were printed, making Prince Harry's gift all the more valuable.
"One of Harry's happiest childhood memories was having his mother read him a bedtime story
," explains Harry's acquaintance, explaining the idea behind the gift.

AA Milne was born in London on January 18, 1882.
Milne had already written several novels, thrillers and plays before he had his big hit with "Pooh the Bear" in 1926.
The model for the popular children's book classic was his son Christopher Robin's cuddly toy, after which Milne also named the boy in "Pooh the Bear".
After the writer's death, his widow sold the trademark rights to Winnie the Pooh to the Walt Disney Company, which has since released numerous films and series about the bear and his friends.
