According to the Macau Information Bureau, Macau Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng met at the Government Headquarters yesterday (January 31) with Tam Yiu-chung, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Hong Kong Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong's conference affairs consultant, and his party, discussing issues such as strengthening cooperation between Hong Kong and Macau and promoting the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area exchange ideas.

He Yicheng said that at present, Macao has realized the normalization of personnel exchanges, and various policies and measures of the central government to support the development of Macao are being effectively implemented. The accelerated construction of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone will surely provide new opportunities for the sustainable development of Macao.
Macau will actively and pragmatically promote the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Shenzhen Cooperation Zone. He hopes to attract more investment from Hong Kong in the future to jointly promote the development of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone.
During the meeting, He Yicheng introduced Macau's economic development, talent development and introduction work to Tam Yaozong and his party, and shared Macau's anti-epidemic experience in the past three years.
He Yicheng also introduced the five-tiered housing policy in Macau, and organized a delegation to inspect the social housing units in Mong-ha, the economic housing units in District A of Xincheng District, the temporary housing projects in the city and the exhibition area for the elderly. The delegation said that Housing policy is worth learning.
Tam Yaozong and his party said that the cooperation between Hong Kong and Macao is very important, and further cooperation between the two places will play a greater role in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
