Iran today (Wednesday) accused Kurdish opposition organizations in the Kurdish region of Iraq of being involved in the attack on the weapons factory in Isfahan, which it claims was carried out in cooperation with foreign intelligence services.

American officials said that the Mossad was responsible for the attack on the sensitive site, but Tehran has not yet officially pointed the finger at Israel.

According to Mehr news agency, the Kurdish organizations brought in the parts of the drones and the explosives through complicated border crossings in the northwest of the country.

The Noor news agency reported that the equipment used to attack the factory was assembled inside Iran after its parts were smuggled into the country.

Isfahan lies in the center of Iran and is far from the border areas, so the estimates were that the attack was carried out from within its territory.

Iran has already responded in the past to actions against it by attacking Kurdish targets in neighboring Iraq, which it claims are collaborating with Israel against it.

Last year, the Revolutionary Guards launched missiles and drones at the Kurdish region in response to the hijab protests, which spread from the Kurdish region in Iran to the rest of the country after the death of the young Kurdish girl Mehsa Amini.

Iran claims that they were assembled inside the country's territory.
