Lucky, a Tang dog girl who has been watching the door of a warehouse in Tin Shui Wai for about 9 years, was suspected of being ill before the New Year. She had no appetite to eat and became weak. However, the dog owner suspected that she did not take her to the veterinarian in time, which caused her health to deteriorate day by day.

Volunteer Mila, who has been feeding Lucky for many years, couldn't bear it. She repeatedly asked the dog owner to take her to the veterinarian, and even expressed her willingness to pay for the medical expenses, but the dog owner repeatedly delayed. Finally, Lucky died this morning (1st).

Mila described Lucky as well-behaved and friendly to people, but unfortunately he was not treated kindly by the dog owner. She criticized the dog owner for having no compassion.

Mila, who has fed Lucky for many years, said in an interview with "Hong Kong 01" that she knew Lucky's owner when she was working in Tin Shui Wai.

She pointed out that the dog owner was running a warehouse in Tin Shui Wai, adopted Lucky about 9 years ago, and locked Lucky at the gate of the warehouse with iron chains.

Mila described that the dog owner has not released the dog for many years, and will not shower Lucky. The place where Lucky lives is not very tidy, and there are often peculiar smells and insect bites.

Mila later moved to another place, but she still visits and feeds Lucky in the warehouse every one or two days.

Since she was acquainted with the dog owner, the other party did not have much opinion.

Mila said that when feeding Lucky on the night of the New Year's Eve, she found that she had a poor appetite and was not willing to eat.

Since the warehouse staff are on holiday from the first day to the eighth day of the Lunar New Year, there is only one deaf-mute person in the warehouse to clean and take care of Lucky, so Mila continues to visit him during the Chinese New Year, but finds that his condition has not improved.

Until the ninth day of the lunar new year (30th), Lucky's condition deteriorated, and Mila repeatedly asked the dog owner to take Lucky to a veterinary clinic for treatment.

The dog owner agreed after consideration. At that time, the veterinarian pointed out that Lucky had a cold, but he may have other physical problems. A blood test is needed for further evaluation.

However, the dog owner ignored it and only asked about the price. In the end, the doctor only prescribed cold medicine.

Mila posted on social platforms this morning to explain Lucky's situation.

Mila visited Lucky in the warehouse again yesterday (31st), and found that he was vomiting and incontinent, lying on the ground dying. His condition was very serious, so he begged the dog owner to take Lucky to the veterinarian again.

Mila frankly begged the dog owner for nearly two hours, and said that she would be responsible for Lucky's medical expenses, but the dog owner was still unmoved, and finally called the police to drive Mila away.

When the police arrived at the scene to investigate and mediate, Mila also repeatedly told the police that Lucky needed to see a veterinarian, and the police said they would pass on the message to the dog owner.

Afterwards, Mila uploaded the photos of Lucky's illness to the social platform. Kent, the founder of Furry Guardian, learned of the incident and contacted the dog owner at 5 pm yesterday, expressing his willingness to take Lucky to the veterinarian.

The dog owner finally agreed to Kent's request, but said that the staff had already left work, and suggested that Kent come to pick up Lucky this morning.

Mila thought she could finally save Lucky's life, but unexpectedly Lucky couldn't bear it in the end. News of Lucky's death came around 9 o'clock this morning.

Mila criticized the dog owner for not being compassionate and not treating Lucky well. She doesn't know why some people are willing to pay for medical expenses but still refuse to let Lucky see a veterinarian.

Mila said bluntly that the dog owner did not take care of Lucky when he learned of his illness, and she also provided the clothes and blankets Lucky was wearing.

Mila pointed out that in fact, the real-time warehouse can choose to install sky eyes to strengthen security, and it is no longer necessary to keep dogs to watch the door, and hopes that there are still "warehouse dog" owners who will treat their dogs well.
