Ansbach – The criminal police in Ansbach is dealing with a case of a rather curious kind.

On Monday evening, January 30, several boxes of sweets were set on fire in a supermarket on Ritter-von-Lang-Allee.

And not for the first time.

According to the police press release, the candy was set on fire around 6 p.m. on Monday.

They were in boxes that were on a shelf.

When "clear flames had already formed", supermarket employees became aware of the fire and put it out with a fire extinguisher.

According to the police, the fire caused property damage in the amount of 300 euros.

And it's not the first time that the sweets are on fire in the Ansbach supermarket.

As early as the end of 2022, on December 23, there were "similar incidents", as the police reported.

However, it is not yet clear whether the crimes are related.

According to the police, the responsible department of the Ansbach criminal police has started the investigation.
