, the story takes place in 1998 in New York where, during a parade on Thanksgiving Day, Kiera Templeton disappears in the middle of the crowd.

If some hair and clothes of the 3-year-old girl were found not far from there, it was not until 2003 that her parents received a VHS recording showing her alone alive in a room.

In parallel with the police investigation, the young journalist Miren Triggs is fully involved in research that brings out her own suffering.
