One of Villa Ortúzar's emblematic bodegones is

Cervecería López

: historically it stood out for being a place of passage that sold

great snacks and chopp on ice

, but over time it gradually incorporated more Spanish

and grill

dishes

until today, in which The

super milanesas de tenera

stand out , which are one of the largest that can be obtained in the City of Buenos Aires.

This Spanish restaurant with suburban decoration was founded in 1943

by the Asturian immigrant Antonio López and will be 80 years old on February 11.

Today it

continues to be a family business

and is managed by the third generation of relatives, along with the descendants of the original partners who accompanied Don Antonio on this project.

Cervecería López is located at

2100 Alvarez Thomas

and has an eclectic audience: young people, families, seniors, and even celebrities: the common denominator is that they all like

good quality homemade food, served in abundant portions and at a good price.

, three pillars that make the difference of the place.

"

In the 40s and up to the 70s it was a place for snacks and draft beer

. In the 80s, classics of Spanish food such as tortillas and squid rings were added. In the 90s we added grill and in the 2000s, the

milanesas, supreme and homemade pasta

In fact, at one time

his father was one of the partners in the tavern

.

After working for a while and saving a few pesos, he associated with some Galicians and put money as a shareholder in the López Brewery

It had an outdoor terrace and a huge sidewalk where people sat down to eat every summer," he recalls in his book "I'm Zorry."
