Unknown people distributed leaflets that described the Jews as pedophiles and racists and called for harming the Jews at the University of Santa Barbara in California • A local student to "Israel Hayom": "a deep injury to our sense of security

Rage and astonishment in the Jewish community in Santa Barbara, California: Residents of the Isla Vista neighborhood near the University of California at Santa Barbara were horrified to discover hundreds of leaflets and posters with overt anti-Semitic messages, pictures of the Nazi oppressor Adolf Hitler and portraits of the anti-Semitic rapper Kanye West.

Among the messages that members of the Jewish community found scattered throughout the neighborhood in the morning were West's quotes in which he called for "Depakon 3" (high military alert) for the Jews, claims that the Jews are pedophiles and that the Anti-Defamation League, one of the largest organizations in the world to fight anti-Semitism, was established to protect About a pedophile of Jewish origin.

So if you're wondering WHY people like me have less than no use for Kanye and his ilk, look no further than the things Jewish students are finding outside where they sleep, and in classrooms on campus at UCSB.

On the posters appeared a link to the anti-Semitic propaganda website Goyim TV, where racist, conspiratorial and anti-Semitic content appears on a regular basis and in a declared manner.

At the end of last year, the site's supporters, members of the racist "League of the Gentiles" movement, held several protest demonstrations on bridges across the United States, Gesham expressing support for the anti-Semitic singer West and his words against the Jews.

Ran Bar Niv, a Jewish student at the University of California at Santa Barbara and a member of the Jewish community, told Israel Hayom: "I woke up late in the morning and discovered 300 messages in the group of the Jewish students on campus. People were in the market. Everyone uploaded the pictures of these delusional flyers, they were just everywhere A place on campus."

Bar Niv believes that the people spreading the posters were not students or locals: "They placed stones in the bottom of the bags in which the flyers were distributed. Hundreds of such bags. They were designed to throw them away quickly and leave the place. Maybe they even threw them out of the window of a moving car. It's a cowardly and despicable act. I don't I believe these are locals because they completely missed the two synagogues located around the campus."

"The feeling as a Jew, an Israeli, and a member of the Jewish community is very difficult. It is a violation of the sense of security that existed in the community. Compared to other campuses, there has never been a very extensive activity of the boycott movement against Israel, there is a very large Jewish presence here with representation in the university senate and the student council. Now We feel attacked from a completely new direction," says Bar Niv.

The incident takes place a few days after pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli slogans were written on blackboards in classrooms on campus, causing anger and concern among the Jewish students.

One of the plaques reads "From the river to the sea - all of Palestine will be freed".

The "Students Support Israel" Instagram page of the Jewish students in Santa Barbara reads: "This week at the University of California at Santa Barbara, a host of anti-Semitic incidents from across the political spectrum took place. Early this morning, hundreds of anti-Semitic flyers were distributed in the Isla Vista neighborhood near residences and businesses that contained anti-Semitic propaganda that blamed the Jews with racism and pedophilia and denied the Holocaust. This shameful act occurred only four days after International Holocaust Day, a reminder to us that anti-Semitism is not a thing of the past and has become disturbingly widespread. We call on the university administrator to publicly condemn the attacks on the Jewish student community and act so that Jewish students receive the same Other minorities on campus receive consideration and protection for them."

After the events, the University of California, Santa Barbara issued a statement that read: "The University firmly opposes any form of hatred, violence or discrimination, whether on campus or in the surrounding community. We encourage members of our university community who need support, or know of someone who needs it, to reach out to us for help . We want every member of our community to feel welcome, accepted, supported and safe. As a community, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment and addressing any racism or discrimination."

The local sheriff's office stated: "The policemen and policewomen of the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office condemn hate, violence and racism of any kind. While we are satisfied that there have been no recent incidents of hate crimes, we will pursue those responsible for the incident. The local sheriff, Bill Brown, asked the public to to the police and present any information he has in order to catch the spreaders of hate propaganda.
