Abstract ideas and techniques of environmental harmony in the exhibition of plastic artist Saleh Al-Khader

Zawaya Gallery in Damascus hosted the solo exhibition of the artist Saleh Al-Khader, which included thirty abstract works, during which he managed to recycle the harmony of the environment and reflect it within these paintings, by using the dirt technique in some of them, and burnt paper in others.

Saleh explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the idea of ​​the exhibition from a technical point of view is to use waste and discarded things, and to recycle them by burning them to revive them again and extract the best possible result from them, indicating that the painting expresses beauty and thought.

Saleh pointed out that he relied heavily in the production of these paintings on the ashes resulting from the burning of these materials, deriving the idea of ​​the exhibition in general from the fires that affected our green carpet.

Saleh summarized his goal of drawing these paintings by presenting them to the audience to create a kind of abstract dialogue between the painting and the recipient to communicate his ideas in an unconventional manner.

In turn, the artist Muwaffaq Makhoul explained that the artist Saleh Al-Khader's use of different techniques from a modern perspective, relying on simplicity and employing environmental elements in the production of most of his works, makes him a unique artist with a distinct visual vision.

Makhoul stressed the need to pay attention to abstract painting as a visual and human art, which carries meanings and values ​​that give it more beauty.

It is noteworthy that Salih al-Khidr is a Syrian plastic artist, born in the city of Hama in 1971, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus, and has been working in the field of photography for more than twenty years, and has many contributions inside and outside Syria.
