Eyal Basraglik, the lawyer who represented the family of the late Yuri Volkov, a resident of Bat Yam who was murdered at the Hatza crossing in Holon last November in front of his wife, charged them a fee of approximately NIS 500,000, which was mostly financed by donations received by the family.
Following the publication, many people began to deliberately lower Basraglik's internet rating, in order to lower his score and keep potential customers away from him.
Basarglik responded for the first time in a post on Facebook, in which he said, among other things, that he returned some of the money to the family.
In his response, he wrote:
"When I decided to announce my candidacy for the presidency of the Bar Association, I took into account that there would be parties who would try to harm me at any cost. I signed an orderly fee agreement with them that included all the details that were agreed upon.
