In December 2022, medical professor Guillaume Canaud won the prestigious Prix Galien de la recherche.
And for good reason, the intuition of this 45-year-old Frenchman has made it possible to treat patients suffering from a rare and severely disabling or even fatal disease in record time: Cloves syndrome.
It all starts in 2015. While doing research, the doctor comes up with an idea for an experiment.
He administers to a young patient affected by this syndrome a molecule tested on breast cancer, to see if it can stem the development of its lumps on his body.
And it works.
In a few weeks, Emmanuel sees his growths resorb and his state of health improves.
Since then, several other patients with various profiles have been able to benefit from this innovative treatment, and their life expectancy has thus been considerably extended.
