Tartous-SANA
The Tartous Water Corporation, in coordination with the General Electricity Company in the governorate, has extended a hotline exempt from electrical rationing to a number of water projects, to ensure its permanent operation in meeting the needs of the neighborhoods benefiting from it with drinking water.
The Director of Tartous Water, Eng. Issa Hamdan, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that during the current month, the Al-Radar and Ras Al-Shughri water well projects were connected to a tension line exempt from rationing, to enable it to work 24 hours a day.
Hamdan indicated that the cost of the project is about 250 million Syrian pounds, and it is part of a group of projects that are being worked on in coordination with the Electricity Corporation, to exempt a group of water projects from electrical rationing to improve the water situation.
The Director of Planning at the Water Corporation, Ahmed Hussamo, pointed out that the Corporation will work during the coming period to complete the connection line in the southern region, after the Khirbet al-Maza and Karm Bayram projects were linked to include Deir Habash. The tension of the railways, in addition to linking the second station to Douir Taha, after the first station was linked last year to the Basira-Duwer Taha station, which will support many sectors such as Souda, Ras al-Kattan, Anazah, and Beit Summaq, and it is under implementation with a length of approximately 2,800 meters.
