The break between them occurred in 2019, when they separated while living in Luján.

At that moment, they agreed that the little boy would stay with Maximiliano Dupuy, his uncle, in General Pico, about 100 kilometers north of Santa Rosa.

Statements at trial

The two defendants for Lucio's crime testified during the trial that took place in Santa Rosa, and in both cases they tried to minimize their participation in the act.

Lucio's mother pointed at her son's father, Christian Dupuy, and said when declaring on the last day of the trial:

In the silence of the entire room, Páez recounted how Lucio lost consciousness: "When I go to look for clothes to change him I hear a knock and when I come back I see that he was lying on the floor, without reaction. Then, out of fear, I touched him with my foot to see if he would react and I saw that he had no response, so I approached him and turned him over, turning him on his back." , said.

Páez said that he tried to perform CPR on him, although he does not know if he did it correctly or if it could have hurt him, after which he took him to the medical room and from there to the hospital, where they told him that Lucio had died.
