Lan Kwai Fong bar "opens the year" on the fourth day of the new year

On the early morning of the fourth day of the Lunar New Year (January 25), a conflict broke out in a bar in Lan Kwai Fong. The injured were beaten by more than 10 black men and suffered multiple injuries. After investigation, the police today (February 2) charged Four people were arrested for "wounding" and "assault causing actual bodily harm".

Mr. Li, a friend of the injured, told Hong Kong 01 earlier that he went to a bar on the ground floor of Lan Kwai Fong Central Plaza with several friends in the early morning of the fourth day of the Lunar New Year. Later, suspected of drunkenness, he had a quarrel with his boyfriend. The other party claimed to be a member of the underworld. Suddenly, more than 10 people punched and kicked his friend, "beating him to the point of death", and another friend next to him was also injured.

Mr. Li also pointed out that the bar security guards did not assist them to call the police and forced them to leave the bar.

After the friend left, he called the police for help, but the attacker disappeared.

Mr. Li pointed out that after his friend went home to rest, he went to the police station to make a statement on the same day, and then sought medical treatment because he felt unwell. The arrester said, "Help me find scary people, we are all guests, and after this time, I dare not go to (the bar involved) to play."

The police said that at around 4 a.m. that day, the police received a report from two men, aged 39 and 26, that they were assaulted during a trivial dispute at a bar at No. 60 Wyndham Street, Central. He was sent to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment, and the case was later handed over to the Anti-Triad Action Group of the Central District Police District for follow-up. After investigation, the police officers arrested 4 men in Tseung Kwan O, Sha Tin and North Lantau today (February 2) , aged between 18 and 25, were suspected of "wounding" and "assault causing actual bodily harm". They are currently being detained for investigation.
