Netanyahu will discuss with Emmanuel Macron the international effort to stop the Iranian nuclear program • The two will also talk about expanding the Abraham Accords

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (Thursday) flew to Paris, where he will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace, and will discuss with him the international effort to stop the Iranian nuclear program and ways to expand the Abraham Accords.

Before taking off, Prime Minister Netanyahu said: "I am going to a meeting with French President Macron. The main topic of our conversation is of course Iran and the joint efforts to fight its aggression and its pursuit of nuclear weapons. I will meet with representatives of the Jewish community and the business community in France who are interested in investing in Israel.

Regarding the agreements, Avraham said: "At the same time, we continue to expand the circle of peace. Today was another historic day: together with the president of Chad, we opened the Chadian embassy in Israel. We will continue to expand and deepen the circle of peace with other countries near and far."

The two spoke by phone earlier this week, and in the conversation President Macron expressed his condolences for the attacks in Jerusalem at the end of last week.

The two leaders will discuss policy issues at hand, primarily the international effort to stop the Iranian nuclear program and ways to strengthen and expand the Abraham Accords.

The two last met in January 2020 in Jerusalem, during Netanyahu's previous term as Prime Minister.

On the side of the meeting with Macron, Netanyahu will meet with leading businessmen from the financial field in France, and will hold a meeting with the heads of the Jewish community.
