(ANSA) - TURIN, FEBRUARY 02 - "We want to enter. This is our school".
This is what the students of the Albert Einstein high school at the Via Bologna branch in Turin, who are protesting against the occupation of the institute, are asking their peers.
This morning over a hundred gathered for a sit-in via Pacini, outside the headquarters of the high school.
They remained silent for a few minutes, explaining that this was "the only response to the violence we have witnessed in recent days".
"We are more than those who are occupying our school. They are a minority," they say.
The occupation of the Turin high school is particularly causing discussion also because, as stated by not only the investigators but also the young people themselves, the direction of the Askatasuna social center "which has nothing to do with us students. Yet they are inside the building and we can't follow the lessons", say Martina and Paolo, student representatives.
On the reasons for the protest, "everyone is free to share or not. We don't think they are wrong, but the students were not asked. This creates a sort of division".
A plenary meeting will take place today with all class representatives to find an agreement.
