The Homs Health Directorate put the children's department in Ibn Al-Walid Hospital in Al-Waer neighborhood into service, after it was reactivated to receive children under the age of 15, within the second floor of the hospital's administrative block.
The director of the hospital, Dr. Wael Abdel Samad, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the children’s department was designated to receive Corona patients during the pandemic, and then to receive cholera patients during the last period, pointing out that the admissions of children attending the hospital did not stop, as they were received within the interior department and the rest of the departments during the period. past.
Abdel Samad indicated that the department includes 4 rooms with a capacity of 13 beds, 11 oxygen outlets, nebulizers, intensive care devices, and an independent incubator department belonging to the Children’s Division, equipped with a submarine and 3 ventilators. The department is supervised by a medical staff consisting of a specialist doctor, resident doctors, and a highly experienced nursing staff.
