Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Chinese First Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaozhou stressed resolutely safeguarding the sovereignty, security and development interests of their two countries and building a more just and democratic multipolar world order.
This came in a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, according to what was reported by the Russian Novosti Agency today.
The statement added: Lavrov and Zhao Zhu reaffirmed during their meeting the rejection of confrontational policies and attempts by individual countries to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries to curb their development through sanctions and illegal methods.
Lavrov noted the cooperation with Beijing in the United Nations, the BRICS Group and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, pointing out that relations between Russia and China are developing dynamically in line with the agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries during their talks late last year.
