The police pointed out that electric movable tools should not be used together with ordinary cars on the road, nor should they be used on sidewalks or cycle paths, otherwise they may easily cause traffic accidents and cause injuries to the rider or other road users.

Any person who uses an unregistered and licensed electric mobility device on roads, footpaths and cycle tracks may violate the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374 of the Laws of Hong Kong and other relevant legislation.
