75-year-old Shimon Matuf, who was very seriously injured in the attack, died tonight from his wounds.
Matuf worked as an armed security guard on Independence Day in a park in Elad.
During the murder spree, the terrorists attacked him with the grezines and wounded him very badly.
He has been hospitalized since then.
Three months ago, his condition worsened and tonight he died in Tel Hashomer Hospital.
Aviva his daughter said this morning: "He was hospitalized since the attack, from hospital to hospital. He had an infection. He went through 8 months of agony. The terrorists hit him with axes in the head and jaw and he has not recovered since then."
Matuf's funeral will be held today at noon in Moshav Barkat.
