In the City of Buenos Aires it is mandatory for cars and motorcycles, from a certain age, to pass

each year

The procedure, which has been required since 2016, consists of taking the vehicle to a

service plant

Usually everything takes about

20 minutes

.

The driver must

stay on board

and follow the instructions of the staff, who will ask him to go forward, go back, accelerate, brake, bring the engine to certain revolutions, turn on lights and more.

It will also be necessary to show that all

seat belts

are operational, that the

fire extinguisher

has the current charge, that a first-

aid kit

and

beacons

are carried , in addition to presenting the mandatory documentation up to date.

Every year more than

750 thousand vehicles

use VTV in the City.

In this

2023

, as usual, each car must undergo control in a

given month

according to its license number and

taking an online turn

More than 750,000 vehicles a year go through the VTV and 20% "bounces" because they are not in good condition.
