After a break of several months, the State of Israel yesterday (Wednesday) received 95 new immigrants from Ethiopia as part of the "Make Israel 2" operation for family reunification - with the assistance of the Foundation Foundation and the Jewish Agency.

The immigrant plane that landed in Israel yesterday was joined by an international leadership delegation from Keren Hayesod, consisting of about 25 leaders, who are raising significant sums for the community in Ethiopia, as well as for their upliftment and absorption in Israel.

Among other things, the delegation visited an ancient synagogue in Ambovar, an ancient Jewish village in the mountains of Gondar, met with the community awaiting the ascension in Gondar, and even joined a common morning prayer.

The delegation also visited the local Jewish school, the feeding center, and the homes of the community awaiting immigration, as well as the offices of the Jewish Agency in Gondar, where the process of preparing for immigration takes place.

I wish the immigrants and their families great success, and I thank the State of Israel and the Minister of Immigration and Absorption for this blessed act."

Sam Grundwerg, the global chairman of Keren Hayesod: "In the past year, Keren Hayesod has assisted in the rescue, upliftment and absorption of Jews from Ukraine and Aliyah from Ethiopia.

The Foundation will continue to work tirelessly all over the world for help and assistance, and we are committed together with the Jewish Agency to continue realizing the Zionist vision."

Maj. Gen. Doron Almog, chairman of the Jewish Agency: "It is always exciting to welcome the new immigrants from Ethiopia, when they fulfill their dream of reuniting with their relatives after years of waiting. I thank our partners at Keren Hayesod for their commitment to this important mission."
