The Israeli airline Arkia announced this morning (Thursday) that it will operate direct flights to Zanzibar, a destination known mainly for its spectacular beaches.
Many Israelis have visited Zanzibar in recent years, but in recent times there have been no direct flights to the destination and now they are returning.
The direct flights will start this July and will be carried out in the format of one flight a week, every Tuesday.
This means that those who plan a vacation in Zanzibar with direct flights, will have to stay at the destination for at least a week.
Arkie directs the direct flights to those who would like to purchase structured packages with the company.
The prices of the packages, including flights and hotel for the whole week start from 2,237 dollars per person.
Those who wish to purchase a flight ticket separately from the package will pay starting at $750 for round-trip flights.
The flights will be carried out in the company's Airbus 321NEO planes, larger planes with slightly smaller body sizes, although it is still a relatively narrow-body plane.
Arkiye points out that in these planes there is an option to connect to the Internet during the flight.
Mike Khomotsani, Arkia's VP of Commercial: "We offer the best product for an exotic couple or family vacation during the summer vacation and Tishrei holidays.
We will offer packages that include the best hotels on the island.
Zanzibar is one of the best VALUE FOR MONEY vacations that can be offered to the Israeli traveler."
