(CNN) --

The shoreline of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, is getting a new addition in 2026: the gleaming exterior of Bentley Motors' first residential building, towering over a skyline lined with luxury condos and hotels.

At approximately 228 meters tall, Bentley Residences will currently become the tallest oceanfront building in the US, according to a spokesperson for the project.

Designed by Sieger Suarez Architects, which will also deliver the upcoming Waldorf Astoria Residences Miami, the 63-story building will feature 216 units with panoramic ocean views, a host of amenities, and an elevator designed to take residents right to their doorstep. home while sitting in their cars.

“People buy single-family homes so they can park their car in their garage, so they can get up and walk to their unit,” the architecture firm's president, Charles Sieger, said on a video call.

"You can't really do that with skyscrapers. So we tried to break that mold."

The "Dezervator," the patented vehicular elevator system named after the building's developer, Dezer Development, first appeared in the nearby Porsche Design Tower, which was also designed by Sieger Suarez Architects.

The four elevators, which rise at 243 meters per minute, each feature a hydraulic system that uses RFID tags to automatically load each vehicle into the elevator, with the driver and passengers inside, and then directly to their floor.

At first, Sieger said, they thought the elevator ride would feel like a roller coaster because of the speed, but that wasn't the case when he tried it himself.

"It was actually disappointing because you're sitting in a comfortable car... and you hardly feel like you're moving that fast," he added.

Moving cars to homes

In many ways, the Porsche Design Tower, which opened in 2016, laid the foundation for this project, Sieger said.

Both adapt the finer aesthetic details of the brand's vehicles to residential complexes and aim to replicate the benefits of single-family homes in a soaring tower, from expansive private outdoor space to unit garages.

At Bentley Residences, each apartment's "garage" has space for up to four cars, as well as the ability to charge electric vehicles.

Units also have huge outdoor spaces with a private heated pool and full kitchens.

The design of the building itself is inspired by the pattern of diamonds embedded in automobile interiors, with the exterior of the tower made of triangular reflective glass panels that mimic the diamond shape, each 7.6 cm deep. .

(All the panels will face different directions, Sieger said, to avoid the scorching effect of reflective glass in London's "Walkie Talkie" skyscraper, which melted parts of cars before it was fitted with sun-reflecting shades.) .

Meanwhile, the condo's interiors also nod to Bentley's distinctive styling.

The grippy texture of metal car gear knobs, for example, is applied to bathroom faucets, while deep walnut tones, highly polished finishes and textured leathers are used throughout the property.

"A lot of it has to do with bringing the nature of the finished materials they use in the cars, scaling them differently," Sieger said of adapting the brand's aesthetic.

(Bentley has already experimented in the interior design space, with its own line of home furnishings.)

While the shared amenities cover a sprawling 20,000 square feet and include restaurants, bars, a fitness center, spa, game room, and movie theater, with seating resembling the interior of a Bentley car, each condo is also packed with amenities.

There is a sauna in the main bathroom, views of the Atlantic Ocean and a huge balcony that includes a private heated pool and outdoor kitchen.

"Most of the apartments don't have balconies that are particularly usable," Sieger said, noting that in this case, some of the outdoor spaces are "about half the size of the unit."

It is also partially enclosed by glass to help keep the wind out even on the highest floors.

Although the building won't welcome residents for another three years, units are already selling, with prices currently starting at $5.25 million and two penthouses priced at more than $30 million each ( or about $60 million as a combined unit).

Construction is expected to begin this spring.
