(CNN Spanish) --

In popular speech, it is said "it is well born to be grateful."

And that expression fits perfectly with Jordi Jacas, a 24-year-old Catalan from Ullà, just over 100 kilometers from Barcelona, who knew how to take advantage of a unique opportunity to bring a message of gratitude to his parents.

Jacas has worked as an airplane pilot for three years, according to what he told CNN.

Since then, he has worked for a Spanish airline covering national and European routes, with the city of Madrid as his base of operations.

However, one of his most special flights was recorded on video and took place on January 25, when he was covering the Madrid-Málaga route.

"I'm going to share a little personal story with you," Jacas is heard saying as the video begins.

"Today's flight is a very special flight for two people who are on board among all of you," Jacas continues, heading to the passenger cabin while his parents, sitting in the front row, begin to get excited.

"They are my parents, today is the first day they have flown with me as a pilot, and for me there are no words to describe the satisfaction and illusion that this makes me feel," he can be heard saying, with a metallic voice, already with the plane in full flight already almost 10,000 kilometers high.

"Two people who have supported me in absolutely everything to be able to achieve my dream since I was little, to be a pilot," he adds, not knowing that at that moment his mother is wiping a tear.

“It has not been an easy path, it has been intense, with many emotions involved.

But without a doubt, it has been worth it and I would not change it for anything in this world.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank them publicly, in front of all of you, since I am sure that without them by my side this would not have been possible” Jacas confesses to applause.

And he concludes: "Dad and mom, us estimo" ["I love you", in Catalan].

The pilot Jordi Jacas already has a new target in his sights

A very personal and emotional tribute that has already accumulated more than 375,000 "likes" on Jacas's personal Instagram account, @pilot_jordi, where he shared the images.

Both he and his parents, the pilot tells us, are still amazed at the reach the video has had.

"Everyone in town stops my parents, they call them and write WhatsApp messages to them continuously," he told CNN.

After this first experience of flying together, the young pilot tells us that he has a new goal: to be able to carry out long-range flights to take his parents, for example, to South America.
