"We are destroyed by pain, my son had nothing to do with it".

These are the words of Paolo Bricca, the father of Thomas - the 19-year-old shot dead in Alatri - during the demonstration held today in the central square of the Ciociaria municipality.

"We prayed a lot so that there could be a miracle - he said - but unfortunately fate took him away from us. Thomas was a friend of everyone, good and bad. Maybe he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. We don't want any revenge. my son's death serve as an example."

Dozens of boys gathered this morning in Alatri at the place where Thomas Bricca was killed for a last reminder of their friend.

Next to the staircase where the young man was shot in the head, his friends - visibly moved - wanted to pay homage to the 19-year-old with some bouquets of flowers and wearing a t-shirt with Thomas's image: "You will be the angel who will watch over us", the writing on the shirt.

Some even displayed banners calling for "justice".

"Your brothers greet you", the lifelong companions of so many evenings spent on those ladders that lead to the historic center of the town write on a red sign.

"Thomas, the son of us all", written on a red heart.

In the very central Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore, a banner was also displayed commemorating Emanuele Morganti, the 20-year-old beaten to death in Alatri in 2017, and Willy Monteiro, the 21-year-old killed by the Bianchi brothers in Colleferro in 2020. "Always in our hearts", reads the banner.

On some white balloons, the inscription "your smile printed on our hearts".

Also in the square is the mayor of Alatri, Maurizio Cianfrocca.

"In this difficult moment - his words - the thing that can alleviate this pain a little is the bringing of those responsible to justice".

Thomas' father, Paolo, wanted to share his pain on Facebook with a short post in which he asks for "help from the Lord in this moment of suffering".

The police investigations

coordinated by the Frosinone prosecutor's office, they continue unabated even if no provision has been issued at the moment.

Last night two people were interviewed by the military as they are believed to be involved in the ambush or in the fights that preceded the assault with gunshots.

Among the suspects there would also be a member of a rather well-known nomadic clan in Lower Lazio.
