In Cambodia, on a duo of islands on the Khmer horizon
It was, in 2012, when it opened, the first private island hotel in Cambodia, which also owes its owners, an Australian couple, the creation of its first marine reserve.
Accessible by boat (35 minutes from Sihanoukville), the Song Saa Private Island actually extends over two islands in the Koh Rong archipelago.
On the first, Koh Ouen, are the 27 villas (from 135 to 230 m², on stilts, on the beach or in the jungle), all with private swimming pool and terrace, the restaurant and the bar overlooking the wave, as well as an open-air spa where retreats and yoga classes are offered.
The second, Koh Bong, connected to its sister island by a wooden walkway, is the bird sanctuary, a haven of serenity conducive to meditation.
