After Taibai Seafood Boat was taken over by "White Warrior" last year, the company's board of directors broke out a personnel dispute last month. The director of the company, Su Pingzhi, the former assistant director of the Marine Department, was convicted of misconduct by a public official in the Lamma shipwreck and was imprisoned for four and a half months.
The director of Taibai Seafood Restaurant refused to respond to the incident, saying that at this stage he hopes to develop the Taibai Seafood Restaurant project in a low-key manner.

Taibai Seafood Restaurant, which was originally owned by the Aberdeen Catering Group, was taken over by "Xinbanghang Co., Ltd." in August last year.
After the company's former director and maritime consultant Yang Zicheng accepted an exclusive interview with "Hong Kong 01", three directors of Taibai Seafood Restaurant appeared last month to disregard their relationship with Yang Zicheng, and a personnel dispute on the board of directors broke out.
On January 20, the board of directors of Xinbanghang and Taibai Seafood Restaurant Co., Ltd. published a statement in the newspaper, clarifying that Yang Zicheng was not a shareholder or business representative of the company, nor had any technical shareholding agreement with the company.
The statement also pointed out that the board of directors has appointed Haiji Hong Kong Trading Co., Ltd. to serve as the maritime consultant for the Taibai seafood restaurant project on February 1.

After checking the information, Su Pingzhi, the former assistant director of the Marine Department, is the sole director and shareholder of Haiji Hong Kong Trading Co., Ltd.
After the Lamma shipwreck in 2012, Su Pingzhi was accused of instructing his subordinates not to implement the new law that ships must be equipped with children's life jackets. He was convicted of misconduct by public officials and served four and a half months in prison.
"Hong Kong 01" once asked Huang Daiyu, the director of Taibai Seafood Restaurant, about the incident. He only repeated that he had "no comment" and only expressed his hope that "Taibai (seafood restaurant) will be done well in a low-key and quiet environment."
In 2012, 39 people died in the Lamma shipwreck during the National Day fireworks.

In 2016, Su Pingzhi was convicted at the original trial and imprisoned for 16 months, but he appealed after serving four and a half months in prison and was released on bail.
During the hearing of the appeal, the defense claimed that Su Pingzhi surveyed the ship in the way of "new rules for new ships, old rules for old ships" only to take care of the industry and avoid operating difficulties caused by the industry's compliance with the new rules.
As of November 2018, Su Pingzhi's appeal against the sentence was approved and he was released immediately, but his conviction was maintained.
Su Pingzhi established Haiji Hong Kong Trading Co., Ltd. half a month before his sentence was appealed, and served as the director of the company. The company secretary was his wife Wu Wanting.

As of February 2019, the register of external work of directorate-level civil servants after they were allowed to stop their duties shows that Su Pingzhi began to serve as a director of the company and is a self-employed person.
His main responsibilities include exploring business opportunities, managing day-to-day business, meeting with potential customers and planning the future development of the company.
The Advisory Committee on Employment Applications for Retired Civil Servants approves the application. In addition to not disclosing government secrets or sensitive information, two clauses are also specially added:
1. Unless the Marine Department deems it necessary, do not contact the Marine Department directly or indirectly for any work-related matters
2. Not to provide services to clients who had direct or indirect business dealings with the Marine Department during the last three years (ie from March 19, 2012 to March 18, 2015).
