Lorenzo Córdova: The only sin of the INE is to apply the Constitution and exercise its autonomy

Lorenzo Córdova, president of the National Electoral Institute (INE) considers that the so-called plan B of the electoral reform is a revenge of the president of Mexico against this body for not subservient to power and exercising its autonomy.

Córdova says in an interview with Carmen Aristegui that the only sin of the INE is to apply the Constitution.

The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, has said that the electoral reform project that he is promoting seeks to generate savings in the organization of the elections.
