The country will be affected, starting this evening, by an air depression accompanied by a cold and wet air mass, which leads to snow and rain, starting from this night until next Tuesday, according to weather forecaster Zakaria Al-Essa.
Al-Essa said in a statement to SANA reporter: "Starting from today's night, there will be heavy rains in the coastal region, with snowfalls on the coastal and southern mountainous heights, and rain, mixed with snow, on the northern regions and the island."
Al-Essa warned of very cold weather, with the temperature dropping at night below zero in the highlands and most of the remaining areas during the aforementioned days until next Tuesday morning.
Al-Essa pointed out that frost and ice occur in the highlands, and torrential rains in the valleys and slopes, in addition to the acceleration of wind intensity with active gusts that may exceed 70 kilometers per hour on Saturday and Sunday, and 90 kilometers per hour on Mondays and Tuesdays.
As for tomorrow’s weather, Saturday, the temperatures will remain lower than their rates by about 2 to 6 degrees Celsius, and the weather will be between partly cloudy and rainy clouds at intervals over most areas, and the precipitation will be heavy and sometimes accompanied by thunder, especially over the coastal region, and snow will also fall on the heights that exceed 1100 meters, then the snowfall level decreases to include some inland areas.
The wind is southwesterly, between light and moderate, with active gusts at times in the western, southern and central regions, and the sea is rustling to medium wave height.
