Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Politics, Media Technologies and Communications in the Russian State Duma, Anton Gorelkin, condemned the media war waged by Western countries against Syria, and the false accusations it makes without any evidence or evidence.
Gorelkin said in a statement to SANA reporter in Moscow today: The Western powers are planning aggressive actions against the independent and sovereign Syrian state after making baseless accusations.
The Russian parliamentarian pointed out that the so-called White Helmets, which is funded and sponsored by the United States and its followers, is the one that fabricated and produced plays using toxic chemicals with the aim of accusing the Syrian government, stressing the need to unify the efforts of Syria and Russia together to thwart these aggressive acts.
In a similar statement, the political researcher and member of the Council of International Relations of the Russian Presidency, Bogdan Bezbalko, said: The war of lies and media misinformation is being waged against Syria and Russia together, indicating that Syria was exposed to this war long before Russia was exposed to it.
Bezbalko referred to the repeated attempts by Western powers to block the voice of the Syrian media, including the Syrian Arab News Agency, SANA, with flimsy pretexts that do not stand up to any criticism.
The Russian researcher added: Unfortunately, the international media arenas are under the control of Western countries, and they lack objectivity and justice, indicating that those who dominate them are waging a media war against Syria and Russia, accusing them of committing fabricated crimes, with the aim of carrying out aggressive acts against the two countries.
Bezbalko referred to the aggressive actions of the United States, including its continued occupation of parts of the Syrian lands and plundering its wealth, calling for work to convey this truth to people on all continents.
