Before the law took effect, the government placed CBD disposal boxes at 10 government premises for citizens to voluntarily dispose of objects containing CBD, and assisted citizens in need to dispose of them in large quantities.
Subsequently, more than 77,400 articles containing CBD were collected, mainly skin care products, oral oils, health supplements, etc.
The government has published a document listing examples of ingredients containing CBD.
The government stated earlier that the purpose of setting up disposal bins is to prevent products from being improperly disposed of, or falling into the hands of others for resale, and will not object to the public disposing of them in the form of household waste, but random disposal will be illegal after the law takes effect.
The Security Bureau stated that after collecting CBD products, the relevant products will be disposed of in the same way as general garbage.
