Together for Change and a new controversy in Salta, with more tensions between Rodríguez Larreta and Patricia Bullrich

That province is in the first gubernatorial elections of the year, on May 14. Meetings with Governor Sáenz altered the opposition peace.

The Argentine electoral calendar begins to move from the beginning of this year 2023 since a dozen provinces will separate their elections for governor from the national date, scheduled for the month of October, when they will vote to define a new presidential turn, after carrying out the STEP (Open, Simultaneous and Compulsory Primaries) in the month of August.

One of the first electoral challenges of the year will be in

the province of Salta, since on May 14 the provincial and municipal positions will be defined in elections

, through the single electronic ballot system.

There,

Governor Gustavo Sáenz - an ally of Sergio Massa and Kirchnerism - will seek a new electoral turn

, with a divided Peronism and with an inmate in Together for Change, which is replicated at the provincial level, in tune with the national fights of that opposition coalition, which could face Horacio Rodríguez Larreta with Patricia Bullrich in a national STEP.

Together for Change will take a photo to show unity between the different legs, this is the PRO and the UCR.

There, they intend to compete for the governorship Miguel Ángel Nanni -from the UCR and from a traditional winery family- and Inés Liendo, a referent of the PRO in Salta.

But the unity photo of the Juntos por el Cambio table was altered by

the spread of a meeting between leaders linked to Patricia Bullrich with Governor Sáenz and his collaborators

, who knew how to be in the PRO.

The alleged meeting involved

a lunch at Las Costas (the Governor's official residence) between Gustavo Saenz and Martín de los Ríos (Sáenz's minister and one of his political operators) with Federico Angelini and Alejandro Ávila Gallo

(Patricia Bullrich's political operator in northwestern Argentina).

The intention would have been to request help from Saenz for the control of the PASO in the face of the internal national dispute where Bullrich would face Larreta for the presidential formula.

For the members of the PRO, it would provide recognition that a governor fortifies a link with who could be the future president, according to what was discussed at that lunch last Monday.

Federico Angelini -a leader close to Mauricio Macri and Patricia Bullrich- denied to Clarín his participation

in the meeting.

But the appointment

was recognized by José Gauffin, councilor of the Salta capital and bullrichista leader

, who in FM Aries, accepted the contact with Sáenz and his collaborators.

Next March 15 is the closing date for alliances in Salta and the issue of oversight of the PASO with the possible help of a governor of Massa caused a lot of discomfort in Together for Change, in a province where the opposition coalition is marching today third in the polls, behind the force of Sáenz and the Avancemos provincial front.
