Weekend weather: dry weather and a return of cold weather on Sunday

For this first weekend of the school holidays, the weather is mixed between sun and clouds depending on the region. Temperatures are starting to drop.


The weather is dry this weekend thanks to a strong anticyclone in France.

Nevertheless, low clouds cover the sky from the North and Northeast.

The south of France is sunny but the mistral and the tramontane continue to blow.

Sunday a wave of clouds arrives from the East which can be accompanied by snow, according to the Weather Channel *.

Saturday Weather

The sun is always there in the west of France as well as in the South.

Mists can however disturb at the level of

New Aquitaine

, on the

central regions

and the

Loire Valley.

The

east of France will be covered by clouds from the

Grand Est

to the

Rhône-Alpes

via

Auvergne.

Temperatures are falling after a sharp rise this week.

They will be seasonal or even slightly lower with a risk of frost in regions with clear skies and vary from 4 to 12°C.

In the West, the weather remains calm and dry thanks to the high pressure which is maintained.

The fogs of the day before will be less numerous and beautiful clearings are expected.

Rain is expected to appear in the east and north-east of France.

Clouds coming from Germany bring a risk of snowfall at low altitude on the reliefs of

Auvergne

Franche-Comté

and the

Northern Alps
