Ecuador is preparing to go to the polls this Sunday, the day on which sectional elections will take place to renew provincial authorities and a
referendum
proposed by the government.
In the case of this official initiative, voters must decide on the possible introduction of new changes to the Constitution, including allowing the extradition of people who have committed transnational crimes.
Ana María Cañizares spoke with two political actors who promote "yes" and "no" in this referendum.
