Winning a Grammy can catapult an artist into the American music sector, but there are some who have more than one and accumulate dozens of gramophones on their shelves.

For this edition, number 65, the list of nominees was released last November with Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Adele, Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift among the artists with the most presence in the different categories.

But this year could be especially important for one of them: Beyoncé.

If the singer wins at least four of her nine nominations, she could become the artist with the most Grammy Awards in history, climb to number one on the list and unseat two music greats Quincy Jones and Georg I released.

The Crypto arena in Los Angeles will serve as the stage this Saturday, February 5, to celebrate the best musical recordings produced in the last two years.

Georg Solti - 31

The late conductor Georg Solti is not only the top Grammy winner in any genre with 31 gramophones, he is also the most successful artist in classical music, according to a count kept by the National Academy of Arts. and Recording Sciences of America, the organization that awards the awards.

Solti received his last Grammy for Best Opera Recording for Wagner: Die Meistersinger Von Nurnberg in 1997, shortly before he died.

Solti was a renowned British conductor and pianist, of Hungarian origin, who was noted especially for his interpretations of romantic orchestral and operatic works.

Quincy Jones has a distinguished career as a musician, record producer, arranger and bandleader spanning a variety of genres from children's to jazz, pop, rap and R&B.

His most recent Grammy Award was won in the category of best musical film, which added to the 28 statuettes that the musician has accumulated so far.

Jones is also one of 15 artists to receive the Grammy Legend Award, the recording academy highlights.

CNN's Mark Tutton notes that it is "hard to overestimate" Jones' contribution to American music.

His best-known work includes the production of the best-selling album of all time, Michael Jackson's "Thriller", the direction and production of the recording of the hit single "We Are the World", the co-production and composition of the soundtrack of the Steven Spielberg's film "The Color Purple" and executive produced the television series "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."

At this year's Grammy Awards, Beyoncé could unseat Solti and Jones if she wins at least four of her nine nominations, including record of the year, song of the year and album of the year.

The American singer has already broken records and in 2021 she became the most awarded female artist in the history of the awards with 28 accumulated Grammy awards in her more than 20-year career. 

Beyoncé Giselle Knowles Carter is a global icon.

She burst onto the music scene in 1997 as part of the girl group Destiny's Child, selling more than 100 million records as a solo artist, winning dozens of awards and building an entertainment and business empire.

Alison Krauss - 27

Alison Krauss holds the distinction as the most awarded female artist in country music.

Krauss shares 14 of her wins with her band of nearly 30 years, Union Station, by Grammy tally.

Krauss is a fiddler and singer who, along with her band, played an important role in the revival of bluegrass, a musical style within the country genre in the United States, according to Encyclopedia Britannica.

Musician and composer Chick Corea, who died in 2021, is currently the artist with the most Grammy Awards in the jazz category.

He accumulates 27 awards as a soloist.

Korean Latin jazz piano styles, compositions and arrangements have also won him four Latin Grammy Awards, says the American Recording Academy's tally.
