The branches of the Union of Fine Artists and the Union of Arab Writers in Tartous, in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture, organized an art exhibition entitled “The Light”, which was accompanied by a literary and musical activity.

Five talented young women in plastic art, whose ages ranged from 10 to 19, participated in the exhibition, which was held in the exhibition hall at the headquarters of the Union of Fine Artists.

The exhibition, which lasts for a week, was mentioned by Suad Muhammad, head of the branch of the Union of Fine Artists in Tartous, in a statement to SANA reporter: “It comes within the framework of the Union’s support for young talents and their follow-up, and the establishment of special activities to shed light on them, and it is held for the first time in partnership with the Arab Writers Union and the Directorate of Culture through a team life skills.”

Mona Asaad, Head of the Cultural Center and the Life Skills Team, stated that, in belief in the principle of participatory with cultural institutions, the participation of the team affiliated with the Ministry of Culture comes through a musical painting presented by a number of talented young people playing and singing, under the supervision of the artist Ghiath Kaber, who in turn said: “Six talented people in playing and singing They presented a bouquet of traditional songs and the songs of Mrs. Fairouz.

Writer Lina Hamdan, a member of the Writers' Union, saw that the new talents in various artistic, literary and cultural fields are a new addition that enriches the cultural movement, which attracts amateurs and provides them with care and embrace to reach their artistic goals.

The plastic artist, Nour Hussein, who supervises the training of the participants in the exhibition, considered that choosing the title stems from the sparkle of hope lurking within them, to be their first breakthrough.

A number of the participants saw this activity as a good opportunity to introduce their artistic works, as Dalaa Al-Azzawi participated in the third secondary grade with 9 realistic and abstract paintings, some of which embodied traditional traditional dress and purebred Arabian horses, in addition to portrait paintings of various female cases.

As for Rogina Ahmed, an eighth-grade student, her paintings dominated portraiture and still life.

Louay Khallouf, from the third grade of secondary school, considered that his participation in the poem “I forgot and you are close to all my people” is an opportunity to present his talent in writing vertical poetry, which was preceded by several participations with the youth branch, during which he won several awards.
