Lawyer Eyal Besarglik and the lawyers of the family of Yuri Volkov - who was murdered at a crossing last December - concluded that Besarglik will return NIS 575,000 to the family.
This is the majority of the amount of money the lawyer collected from the family for his service, money they received from crowdfunding donations.
At the same time, a sum of ten thousand shekels will be donated to a worthy public cause that was agreed upon in advance and accepted by the family of the deceased.
The members of Volkov's family said that they received with great relief the notice from the Basraglik attorney about his intention to return the money to her due to the termination of the representation. The family also said that they cherish the fact that the amount that will be returned to them from the Basraglik attorney and that he insists that it was and still is In the form of a proper fee, a portion of it will be contributed by Attorney Basraglik to a worthy public cause agreed upon by the parties.
"The parties agreed among themselves that this donation is a sign of gratitude and appreciation to the Israeli public who mobilized to help the Volkov family very generously after the disaster that befell her and her family."
