Russian oil products: EU reaches agreement on price cap
The European Union (EU) reached an agreement on Friday on a price cap for Russian petroleum products, the Swedish EU Presidency announced, two days before the start of an EU embargo on these products.
According to European diplomats, the agreement includes a ceiling price of 100 dollars per barrel for more expensive products such as diesel and another of 45 euros per barrel for less refined products such as fuel oil.
This agreement corresponds to the proposals made by the European Commission.
