According to the decision of the Minister of Transportation, "Nativ Plus 1" will also be possible in a vehicle with two passengers during some of the morning hours • Estimate: the move will allow traffic on the road for about 500 more vehicles per hour

Going to Jerusalem?

It will be easier for you:

according to the decision of the Minister of Transportation Miri Regev, starting tomorrow (Sunday) it will be allowed to travel on "Netiv Plus" on Route 1 even in a vehicle with two passengers - instead of three.

Travel will be possible from the Daniel interchange to the Harel interchange.

According to the Ministry of Transportation, "lowering the minimum number of passengers from three to two is intended to improve the efficiency of the route and increase the number of users during rush hours."

Her decision goes into effect.

"Nativ Plus" on Route 1 is active between 06:30 and 09:30 in the morning.

During the rest of the day, the lane is open to all road users, regardless of the number of passengers in the vehicle.

"Nativ Plus" currently uses about 130 buses and about 300 private vehicles (3+) per hour.

Turning the lane from 3+ to lane 2+ will increase the use of the road to about 500 vehicles per hour and reduce the load on the other lanes.
