On the night of Friday to Saturday February 4, two people were arrested in Champigny-sur-Marne, in Île-de-France, for "degradation of private property by fire, carrying a prohibited weapon and apology for terrorism".

The two individuals tried to set fire to a garbage can while shouting “
Allah Akbar
”.
The police intervened around 7:30 p.m.
At the sight of the police, one of them, who was holding a knife (a blade of 15 centimeters), tried to get rid of his weapon by throwing it in a trash can.
The other also carried a bladed weapon, a kitchen knife whose blade length is estimated at 10 centimeters.
